The American Planning Association just put out its list of 2011 Great Places and the Emerald City is nowhere to be found: Not in Great Neighborhoods, Great Streets or Great Public Spaces.
In fact, in all of Washington and Oregon, only Tacomas Point Defiance Park was named a Great Place this year. The only Seattle honoree ever was, you guessed it: Pike Place Market.
